I am addicted to cheese. I love it in my pasta and on my triscuits and between unsalted saltines...whatever it is you call them when they're plan. However, I'm trying to eat/use as few animal products as possible.

Damn cheese. It makes for a yummy snack/meal that really takes no prep time. So I've been throwing other stuff in my lunch bag, hoping to cut down on my cheese and crackers habit. Perhaps once a week rather than two or three times. Now I need to find a nondairy alternative to my quick and yummy slimfasts.

Yesterday

~Lots of water throughout the evening/night~

A glass of Simply Apple apple juice. (No preservatives, never frozen, never concentrated. Better than any other apple juice I've had, but I'm not sure if it's worth 50% more than the generic 'not from concentrate' price)

A square slice of my roommate's onion and mushroom pizza (more cheese!)

A bowl of lentil soup

Two handfuls of dried fruit and nut mix

Two handfuls of cracked black pepper Triscuits

A banana

An apple

One of those little miniature Hershey's chocolate Santas. (size of my thumb, but oh so good)

Throughout the day/night, since I was working a 12 hour shift last night:

-Lots of water throughout-

A bowl of Special K chocolate with soymilk
A handful of dried fruit and nuts
A bunch of cracked black pepper Triscuits
A banana
An apple
Green Giant single serving Teriyaki steamed veggies
A can of slimfast-like product

No exercise. Working 7 days a week, four out of those seven being on my feet constantly...I can't bring myself to go walking/jogging for the hell of it. I should have gotten on my yoga ball, but I didn't.

...Every Tuesday and Wednesday night. My nights off are without any sort of schedule (other than "I need to get this, this, and this done before everything closes") so my eating isn't necessarily the healthy small five-ish meals that they should be.

Can't recall Tuesday, but here's Wednesday:

Water
Vegan Banana and Soymilk (instead of milk and eggs) French Toast using 15grain whole wheat.

Manderin Orange Spice tea with sugar-free imitation honey

A bowl of Baked Ziti (Nature's Own organic penne pasta, half a can of ragu, a can of crushed tomatoes, Zucchini sauteed in water and Omega oil with thyme, and some cheddar cheese)

Organic Ceylon Rose eta with imitation honey

Two handfuls of Trail mix.

As predicted, I started ut the day with...

Breakfast:
Water
Three small "nonfat" crepes with plumped up raisins

Exercise: Brisk-walked three miles....not including the walk back home to get bread after I was chased down the sidewalk by wadling little ducklings used to me feeding them. How dare I forget!?

Lunch: (I had to eat at Panaera Bread since I wanted to use their wireless. Not that I'm complaining- yum! Just...cursed breakable Internet Modem and the tedious wait for a replacement. >.< )

Water with lemon slices
Caffe Latte
Vegetarian Blackbean soup (the best I've ever tasted) with wh. wheat baguette bread.

Dinner: (Over a span of an 8-hr work shft)
Water
Pasta Salad (tortellini, tomato, pesto, and black olives)
An apple
A banana
A handful of trail mix (peititos- that's what that elusive nut/seed is called! And they're cherries, not cranberries. Roasted and slated soynuts, sunflower kernels, and almonds)

Current Location: Panera Bread...again

14 October 2007 @ 03:12 am

Breakfast:
Water
Three small crepes with raisin sauce (both were made by using 'Fatfree' recipes, though I wonder with the brown sugar in the raisin sauce and the Omega Egg in the crepes)

Exercise: Walked 3.5 miles.

Lunch:
A tall glass of Bolthouse Farms Berry Boost fruit smoothie

Dinner: (Over a span of time at work)
Water
Pasta salad (tortillini, fresh tomato, black olives, and pesto)
A handful of trail mix (soynuts, almonds, cranberries, sunflower kernals, and another really yummy nut)
An apple
A banana

The recipe I used for the crepes made waaaay too many. That means that tomorrow's post will probably look exactly like this one, safe for the smoothie. Finished that off today.

Okay, so I may as well post for today. I stop eating once I get off work anyway.

A breakfast burrito. I scrambled some Omega Egg product (fortified, yada yada) with some cheese and wrapped it in a flour tortilla.

Lunch:

About a half-cup measurement of Gatorade (it was all my mother had other than soda. I didn't think to bring my own beverage >.< )
Green Giant SteamFresh "Garden Veggies". Um...greenbeans, carrots, potatoes...other stuff...

Dinner: (Over a span of an 8 hour work shift)

Water
Cheese and crackers (only because I didn't have enough stuff to make my pasta salad)
Two handfulls of a trail mix (soynuts, almonds, cranberries. sunflower seeds, and another yummy seed)
A banana
An apple

Okay, so I've been laxing. It's been a busy week, and I haven't been eating as well as I should (and having a hard time keeping up with any single day). No fast food or anything, but...hm...lots and lots of sushi, seaweed salad, two plates of eggplant parm, a muffin...but I think that everything else was pretty much same old same old. Except the chocolate covered apples that I made- had three in this last week.

Yesterday:

Water
A bowl of corn chex with soymilk

Water
Green Giant SteamFresh Medly of peppers, broccoli, and something else.
Cup of Bolthouse Farms carrot juice

Water
Bowl of black seedless (they had little seeds, I tell you!) grapes
Cheese and Triscuits
A banana

Exercise: Walked two miles.

01 October 2007 @ 04:54 pm
Breakfast:
Water
Reheated Tex-Mex eggs (fortified Omega egg product (equal to two eggs), a bit of soy milk, tomatoes, pinto beans, and a little bit of shred cheese)

Snack:
Dun Dun Duuun! A bowl of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ice cream. I could not resist!

Exercise: Brisk-walked three miles, then did a session with the yoga ball for good measure.

Lunch:
Water
Veggie burger with veggie-chz on (dreaded) white bread. My good bread molded. ;_;

Dinner: (over a span of time at work)

Handful of sunflower seeds
